なんとか形にしました、
わからないなりに。
"最高の友達になれたのに"や
"あなたのシャツについた血"あたりから、
相手と衝突したときのことを
描いているのではと予想しました。
たとえば意見の対立などから、
お互いに攻撃し合ってしまった。
"わたしのことなんて
誰も聞いてくれない"とあるように、
聞いてほしい"あなた"とは、
溝が深まってしまってそれができない。
一方で"あなた"は、
神様にわかってもらおうとしたり、
金切り声を出してみたりするけど、
何も変わらない。
head in the cloudsは、
そのまま訳すと
「雲の中に頭を突っ込んでいる」となります。
転じて、非現実的という意味*1。
相手と自分への嘆きとともに、
現実はなかなか見えないものだけれど、
もっと目を向けていこうと
歌われているのかもしれません。
ぐんぐん前へ進むメロディーで、
聴いていて気持ちがいいです。
